Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

We celebrated by watching "Horton Hears A Who" and then making some clovers with a speck of dust (containing a Whoville of course). We also made our own crazy Dr. Seuss like creatures out of egg cartons. I didn't take a picture but they would have made the Dr. proud.

I sure do love that Dr. Seuss. His world must have been an amazing place. His stories can always bring a smile to my face. He spins your imagination in his magical ways. See how I rhymed - I don't have his grace ;-)

Anyway, the weekend is here and a full on it is. Swimming lessons. birthday parties, housework, groceries, and I hope to do a "big cook". I found this amazing website Once A Month Mom. Every month they put out different menus to do a "big cook". If you follow their menu you end up with approximately 18 dinners, 10 lunches and some breakfasts. The grocery list, recipes cards, timeline/instructions and labels are all ready and done for you. You can adjust it accordingly to the amount of people you want to cook for! Seriously, you need to check this out. I have everything I need for the traditional February menu printed out. I planned on hitting Costco and Superstore tonight, but is kind yucky out, so I am going to browse through the flyers and see if there is any good deals to be had here in my neck of the woods.
