It is time for a quick reminder. Lily is a sponge. She soaks up everything even when you think she is not paying attention. We have been noticing it more and more lately since she has gotten into Dora and Diego. At first she seemed to zone out and not participate no matter how much we encouraged her by asking her questions or prompting her to follow along. Then I started to notice how much she was paying attention and she started to participate (especially with Diego). One day we were in Costco and she was noticing how all the items were stacked up to the ceiling. "Look at dat way up high" she exclaims pointing to the stack of diapers.
"Yep, they are very high" I responded.
"I can't reach it, too high"
"No, we can't reach it"
"I need a ladder" she states
"That's right, a ladder would help but we don't have a ladder"
"Check my packback"
"Have you been watching too much Dora Lily?"
"Yep, too much Dora" She said while nodding her head.
Now, we are generally pretty good at watching what we say and what we listen too (no more Eminem blaring while I clean house) and thankfully I quickly censored myself during the last dreadful Rider game. I was getting a little stressed out by yet another turn over and let out a "Geeze, C'mon guys play some freaking football" (it was a quick censor from what I was about to say and is probably better since you are not supposed to use the Lord's name during sporting events or something along that lines). During this outburst Lily was seemingly busy playing with her babies and shopping cart, but she still soaked it all up and 2 minutes later she's throwing her hands up in the air and letting out an exaggerated "Geeeeeze". A short while later she added the "C'mon guys". In fact every time she see football on the TV she let's out a "Geeze, C'mon guys" . Of course since I am the parent of the year a proudly grin every time she does it. My little Rider girl :)
