♥ Hello Again

As usual I am behind with my blogging. Things have been a little crazy and I have been distracted by some crocheting projects that I am working on. Actually, I have been distracted by looking up projects I would like to do and looking at yarn. Plus Jamie's wedding is this weekend! Wow, time has flown. I really wish time would slow down just a little bit. Some days it feels like I just got off a fair ride, you know those few moments after you step off and you feel like the world is still spinning around you, that's me. I can't believe that anywhere between 10-14 weeks this new babe will be here. I swear with Lily I had my hospital bag packed, the car seat in, and the nursery completely set up and ready ago. So far I have managed to make the babe a hat and bought her a pair of slippers. That is all. There seems to so much going on yet and I fear we will never get Lily's big girl room started let alone finished by the time this little one arrives. We have Jamie's Wedding this weekend, want to have a garage sale the last week in June, going away the for Canada Day long weekend, going on the Popescu camping trip the first week in August .... *yawn* now I'm exhausted from thinking about it all. I am sure July will be a productive month and we can get things finished up then. Hopefully that leaves Lily enough time to adjust to her new room.

Lily has been doing great with potty training. Still a couple accidents a day and poops are not happening in the potty yet, but I am very pleased with our success, especially considering her age. We went to Mosiac on the weekend and I am not sure what she enjoyed more, the dancers, the food, or pee'ing in all the different potties. I was worried that being out and about would be on accident after another and even put a pull up over her panties to save numerous changes of pants, but she did even better being out than she does at home!! Such a big girl. It still amazes me how much she has grown in the past 6 months. Her vocabulary and comprehension astounds me some days. Of course with this also comes some fierce independence and stubbornness. Some days it is cute - eg. insisting on running around in nothing but a shirt and rubber boots. Other days it is draining - eg. whining over and over again for the same thing that she has been repeatedly told that either 1) she can't have or 2) we don't have. But daily she warms my heart and makes us smile (and often shake our heads wondering where this personality came from).

Babe #2 (name still TBD) is becoming more and more active and I am finally feeling all the river dancing she is up to. Thankfully I have been still feeling pretty good and my weight has stayed well below what I gained with Lily. Of course having 2 stomach flus in less than 2 months has probably contributed to that. Part of me can't wait for her to arrive so I can hold her and get to know her. The other part is very content to wait and enjoy the last few weeks of being a family of 3. I still haven't fully wrapped my head around the dynamics of being a family of 4. I am also still a little apprehensive about not having that year off to devote to my family, but in the long run I think it may be easier on Lil.

~ 24 weeks. So cute ~

Well, it only took me 3 days to actually get this posted, now I better get on with the rest of my extensive to do list.
